When did we know that we’re going to end?
What to do in your short time?
Make meaning before you transcend?
“Who else could you turn to?”
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
“How much are you worth to me?”
You still don’t want me to worry
Alone in your room you start to cry.
Among all the good things, you wonder, “why?”
You are forgotten.
It’s a selfish disease, what they fell to.
Insecurity, failure, words not penned
a film placed over the truth
like a filter on a camera lens
“...we live by what we see as true.
But really what does that all mean?
A vague concept through and through...
our reality may be just fantasy.”
Everyone claims those that fell as cowards
To you, they are the bravest of us all
You’ve almost come to that same conclusion
and yet you can’t, you have yet to fall
